The origin of the logo is a golden star, which was

Rivera’s former beer logo business in Veracruz, Mexico, called The golden star.

It is an iconic symbol because of its fame, not only as a widely spread brand in Spain, but also around the world.

Its headquarters is in A Coruña, Galicia, with a factory with around 2.000 employees. Its revenues increased to €886 million in 2.024, while its profits were €107 million.

Last but not least, it is a Galician symbol.

The Red Cross was the first logo. It symbolizes first aid and medical services. Nevertheless, in the Ottoman Empire the logo was rejected due to its religious meaning, and they implemented the Red Crescent.

Other symbols were developed in order to adapt to different religions and sensibilities. Finally, in 2005, the need to create a neutral logo and the use of Red Crystal was agreed on.

The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement is a non-profitable organization which provides humanitarian aid worldwide.

The movement was founded in 1863 on a Conference in Geneva, where different personalities were discussing about the challenge to provide medical help in a war context.

To adress this situattion they decided to use the Red Cross as a well-known symbol for medical personnel, pointing out their neutral position.

The name YouTube combines the two words "You" and "Tube", which is related to CRT tubes, that were used in old TVs and monitors.

The very firt YouTube logo appeared in 2005, but it was different from this one. The red rectangle had "Tube" written inside it and there was no triangle.

YouTube is now the largest video hosting service worlwide and it was bought by Google in 2006 for 1.6 billion $. The platform is used by more than a billion people, almost half of all the Internet users in the world. It was created by three former PayPal employees who had this idea after a party because they wanted to upload some videos.

Curiously, the original idea of the creators was a dating site, but the users began to upload video content instead of videos about themselves. Because of it, the initial day YouTube began to work was on St Valentine´s Day.

FIRSTLY, THE LOGO WAS THE SILUETE OF A GREYHOUND , WHICH REPRESENTS BOTH OF THE DOGS OF ONE OF THE FOUNDERS ,AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE SECOND PICTURE .

THE MAIN REASON OF WHY THEY CHANGED THEIR LOGO WAS MAINLY BECAUSE OF COUNTERFEIT ,BECAUSE IT WAS MORE DIFFICULT TO MAKE A REPLICA .

BIMBA Y LOLA IS AN ICONIC BRAND BECAUSE IT MIXES HIGH-QUALITY CONTEMPORARY DESIGN AND PLAYFUL AESTHETICS . IT IS ALSO ICONIC BECAUSE IT HAS BEEN TAKING RISKS IN INNOVATING DESIGNS ,WITH ANIMAL PRINTED OR FLOWERFULL GARMENTS .

THE BRAND GREW RAPIDLY FROM 2006 , WHERE THEY OPENED THEIR FIRST STORE IN BILBAO ,TO OVER 300 STORES ALL AROUND THE WORLD . BEING ABLE TO FIND IT IN OVER 37 COUNTRIES .

A FUN FACT ABOUT BIMBA Y LOLA IS THEY WERE ONE OF THE ONLY SPANISH BRANDS WHO GREW DURING THE 2008 CRISIS . "We survived the crisis by believing in the brand and by being more demanding of ourselves every day," Uxía pointed out.

With headquarters in Cupertino (California), Apple is one of the world biggest companies in terms of capitalisation and brand value.

The name "Bluetooth" was conceived by the founders by upon disscusing Scandinavian history through tales by Frans G. Bengtsson's The long Ships, a historical novel about vikings which featured a prominent character known as Harald Bluetooth.

Harald Bluetooth was the inspiration to call their product Bluetooth. For the logo, they decided to take inspiration from ancient nordic runes, combining two runes "Hagall" (ᚼ) and Bjarkan (ᛒ), which are the initials of Harald Bluetooth.

The founders intended to use the name Bluetooth as a placeholder until a new name was to be choosen, however when the new name was choosen wich was RadioWire they discovered it was already registered so they had no option to release it with the name of Bluetooth wich endend becoming the standard and synonymous with short range wireless technology.

The first store opened in Seattle as a takeaway coffee shop. It was 10 years later when Howard Schultz was seduced by the store and he started to work in the marketing department. After that, he helped developing the company with the knowledge he had gain while travelling.

Starbucks started expanding very fast, opening new stores in Asia and Europe at the end of 1999.

Nowadays, they are modernising the company's concept by trying to improve customer satisfaction.

The star logo was designed as ankle protection for basketball players. Besides, its position on the inner part of the ankle is a feature of brand authenticity.

Over the years, the logo changed but it always preserved its star. This is an iconic symbol that everyone recognises due to its visual impact, the simplicity of the shape and its use in alternative cultures like the skateboarding world or by famous musicians like Kurt Cobain. Currently, Converse has global statement.

The company was founded in 1908 manufacturing rubber boots. However, in following years, it began to commercialise athletic footwear with a new strong material, canvas, a cutting-edge product in the early 20th century. Thanks to its first sponsor, Chuck Taylor, it became a mass-market product and continues to be.

The logo is designed to look like a tick, adding a sense of movement to the side of the trainers. The designer was a student of graphic, who used to create grafics, advertisements and catalogues for the company. Due to the rush order, the logo is simple yet identifiable.

This brand is iconic because the first pair of trainers was being worn by two runners in the Boston Marathon in 1972. Furthermore, Nike established a partnership with the United States Olympic Committee in 2005.

As an interesting fact, Nike's tagline "Just do it" was chosen as one of the five most important of the 20th century.
