I think that Sewons essay was the most striking because it explained how the author foreshadows and created tension in the story well. I need to improve on my introduction because I didn't really add in background information . An aspect of this activity that needs to be improved for me is explaining/talking to the person who's paper you are checking the feedback you have come up with.

I think Yunsoo's essay was truly a striking masterpiece. He was able to demonstrate great skill by giving good information and using good quotes. I think that for my own writing I need to add more quotes from the story. I think that for this activity there should be police badges as they make the person checking feel better. Other from that I do quite like this activity.

Even though I only checked the introduction, I think Raphy's essay was the most striking. Although he had some grammar mistakes just like other people, he included everything that was supposed to be in the introduction. He thoroughly, yet briefly, described the background information and the characters. He also described the author and the story, using varied vocabularies. I need to improve in not repeating the same words and following the correct essay format. I think the activity would have been better if the people were more serious about checking other people's work.

The most striking essay would be Sewon Sohn because although she did make a few mistakes like the hook and some parts need fixing, her thesis was clear. Sewon's introduction may need some fixing especially in hook but the points were all hit. I would really like if the editors would be more serious so this activity would be really beneficial.

Although I did not read through everyones essay, I think Raphy did a really good job. Everything was clearly written and all related back to the topic sentence. Raphy supported his quotations with evidence and used a different variety of words that made his essay not seem too "basic". This exercise helped us find the errors in our work that we, ourselves could not seem to correct.
