At this time it was February and it popped up on Alexa that there was a new virus in China. When I said it was no big deal it was because I never in a million years imagined it spreading as much as it did and as far as it did. I thought it would stay out of the US. But a disease I once thought would be nothing was a punch to the face to me. Not only is the virus itself serious but the effects it has had on people’s lives are very serious. Millions of people have lost their jobs from this virus and many people have lost family members and friends. This virus is going to have a huge impact on the way the Country runs when it is gone. For example more people might realize they prefer online school. Another example could be someone who has a meeting out of town but instead the meeting gets moved to online on google hangouts. This being said they are all able to work from home and still make money to support their families. I am also grateful of the neighborhood I live in. I have so many amazing friends in the neighborhood I live in and it makes boring times like these so much better. I am also grateful of my family and friends health. Everyone in my family and all my friends are very healthy and haven’t gotten Coronavirus so for that I am very grateful. I am also very grateful of the fact that I am still able to get an amazing education in spite of the Coronavirus. The teachers at American heritage have done an amazing job transitioning to online school and for this I am also very grateful. Today was a special day because it was the start of the 45 minute online classes. This is special to me because it gives me more time to feel like I’m in school and to interact with my friends and teachers. This is something that I took for granted and never thought I would ever say I missed it. Such as going out to restaurants, going to the beach, and being able to go to places like Skyzone. I was never a huge fan of going out to restaurants but now that I haven’t been able to go to a restaurant in around 2 months I’ve started to miss them. I miss being able to go out to dinner to celebrate certain things such as birthdays or even just going out to dinner for no occasion. Another thing I miss very much is going to the beach. The beach has always been a place I’ve loved and found so enjoyable. When your at the beach there is a breeze like no other and the amazing salt water on my skin is in replaceable. It was also a place I would love to go to hangout with friends and throw the football around or go swimming. I also miss fun places like Skyzone that I am no longer able to go to. I’ve been going to Skyzone since I was little and I’ve always had a blast there. That feeling of being able to jump to the sky is unlike any other.
