Twilight Bey, who was likely the inspiration for the title, describes his name as referring to a limbo, like the one he felt strongly during and after the events of 1992. Gladis Sibrian also described the events as a limbo. Homi Bhabha went more in depth in this comparing the world’s fuzziness caused by the lack of light during twilight to the uncertainty and requirement that people had to draw conclusions based on very little detail during the events of 1992.

He is described as a white, wealthy actor who played competitive tennis. The reader could not be blamed for assuming how much privilege he has. I really respected him being able to acknowledge the privilege he had simply by his skin color and how that privilege impacted his everyday life.

While in the hospital, Reginald had the opportunity to reflect on this situation and overall what was going on in the world. A quote that stood out to me states, "I just want people to wake up. It's not a color, it's a person." I think this quote is describing how Reginald just wants the world and all the communities to be at peace. He just wants people to wake up and truly see each other no matter what the color of their skin is.

First, it asks if we are really better off having really smart, talented people die in the name of freedom, instead of staying alive to be among the leadership. The author was talking about Jonathan Jackson, but this chapter made me think about people like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and Robert F. Kennedy, and how much they might have accomplished over the past 50 years if they had been allowed to live. Then this chapter goes on to talk about all of the power and weaponry the United States Government has and its willingness to use it, even against its own citizens! In a book about the problems that exist in Los Angeles and the need for change to the justice system and accountability of police (government), the author's warning about the violence and destruction our government is capable of when people go against it was disturbing. This part of the chapter resonated with me because it showed how unequal the fight for equality really is.
