Machinery, cigarettes, paper, glassware, wire cable and automotive products are manufactured. Jakarta also has sawmills, textile mills, food processing plants, breweries and a film industry.

Parts of Jakarta do not have running water or proper sewerage systems. These problems can mean in the wet season of the year because they have wet and dry seasons, open drains can flood and sewage can be washed through the streets and drains which would and do increasing the risk of diseases and infections. There are new and old parts of Jakarta. Christianity whoever, is not a foreign religion to Indonesia.  Indonesia do not have a state religion but there is a legal system to regulate people’s beliefs. The State recognises only 5 faith categories and each religion must be under one of the categories to be legally practised. These categories include. Islam, Roman Catholicism, Buddhism, Protestantism, Hinduism. In the city there are loads of people, cars, trucks, buses, motorbikes and three wheeled taxis which are called Bajaj over there. All of these vehicles have an impact on the pollution in the city and they make the city noisy when there are lots of them. In the dry season when the farmers or when the national parks rangers are burning off their paddocks or bush the air pollution in and around Jakarta can be made worse by the fire’s smoke.
Traffic Jams- In the city of Jakarta there are lots of traffic hold up either of crashes, breakdowns, or peak hour. There are traffic lights which take a while to change as there are so many directions to go at the traffic light. This traffic is known to be the worst in the whole world. Jakarta is a city of around 10 million people crammed in 740 square kilometres of land. The public transport is limited to buses, and trains. Bus stops mean that when a bus stops in the middle of a busy road, people have to climb in and out of a vehicle that only has one door.
Cigarette ads everywhere- Many Indonesian people smoke. Restaurants allow smoking indoors. Around Jakarta you even see school children around the city smoking and even orangutans . Every street in Jakarta has a billboard or banner promoting local cigarettes.
