Distance to market- highways, drones, etc. Alex: about 403,131 live in halifax and 19.8% of that population lives in rural halifax which often does not have internet which means they get quick service and since there is not to many people there they have more time to do other deliveries around canada.

Government incentives - what will they benefit from that location Alex: the government might be biased in some ways by promoting it or giving them less taxes or providing them with money to help upgrade drones their batteries, and othe rtransportation

Energy costs ? Alex for every hour jet fuel costs about 1,292 per hour. It takes about 8 hours to get from halifax to vancouver so that's over 10000$

For drones batteries cost about 80$ and drones can fly for 10-20 minutes

Availability of Resources

Halifax offers many goods and services. Halifax has a growing technology hub that offers technology services, so the machines and robots (that are used in the production process) can be made locally with less shipping costs. Amazon has proposed a new online grocery store, and Halifax has food resources including potatoes, lobster, and other seafood, by doing local online grocery stores, this reduces shipping levels, better economically and environmentally.

Transportation costs

Halifax have lots of goods and services locally. This reduces greenhouse gases and shipping costs. Since Halifax has a growing technology rate, halifax’s tech hub can design new environmentally friendly vehicles for transportation that reduces shipping costs and greenhouse gases.

Labour Force

As of April 2018, there is around 14,000 people in Halifax that are unemployed. By moving in Amazon’s new HQ2, this can be reduced by the thousands, supporting the local infrastructure and providing local work to the locals. By doing this the locals won’t have to be transported for long so Amazon pays them less to have less transportation rates.

Having Winnipeg relatively central in Canada, with great access to highways, and air travel, this location would be a perfect to house the amazon HQ2. Winnipeg has the largest population in Manitoba, making for a large, skilled workforce's available, with one of the top seven most intelligent communities in the world. The energy rate only being 3.448¢/kWh creating opportunities for relatively cheap energy bills and electric heating. With one of the most diversified economies in all of North America, it makes for cheaper in and outs of the product. Winnipeg would be a great location to put the new amazon HQ2!

Amazon should build its second headquarters in Windsor because of markets, availability of freshwater, transportation, and labour supply. Amazon sells most of its products to the United States (75%) and Canada, so it would make sense for them to be located in Windsor since it shares an international border with Detroit. Windsor is located between Lake Erie and Lake St. Claire so there is a large supply of freshwater located very close by. This goes along with transportation since the waterways can be used to ship products, not to mention that shipping by boat is the cheapest way to transport goods. There are also two airports nearby, one in Windsor and one just across the border in Detroit. In addition there are also many highways in the area, to ensure easy and quick transportation of products. Again Windsor shares a border with Detroit, which draws in workers from both countries. Both Canada and the United States are highly developed in technology, so they would bring that development to Amazon.
