The Bible promises us in James 4:8, “Come near to God and He will come near to you.” He is waiting for you!

Don’t rush. The objective is to spend relaxed, uninterrupted time with God, not to go through a format. These are mere guidelines. Let God be your guide.

Preparation

• Find a place where you can be alone and free from distractions.

• Bring your Bible, a notebook and pen, and worship music.

Thanksgiving

Begin with thanksgiving. Psalm 100:4 tells us, “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise.”

• Thank Him for His patience and forgiveness.

• Thank Him for the privilege of coming into His presence.

• Thank Him for what He has done in and through your life in the last year.

Take time to list what God has done for you. Be specific. Think through every area of your life.

Confession

Ask God to search your heart. Psalm 139: 23, 24

• Confess any sins the Holy Spirit reveals. Psalm 19:12

• Remember the certainty of forgiveness. 1 John 1:9

• Make certain you are walking and praying in the Spirit. Ephesians 5:15-20

Praise

Become still before the Lord. Psalm 46:10

• Consider who God is. Psalm 103

• Praise Him for His attributes. Psalm 145

• Rejoice in your fellowship with Him and that He delights in you. Proverbs 15:8

• Read passages of Scripture and pray them back to God. Psalms 146 – 150

• Sing to the Lord.

Intercession

Pray your way around the world with unhurried, detailed intercession for others. Ask God to reveal the world to you from His point of view as you read Psalm 33.

• Begin with your non-Christians, friends, relatives, neighbors and others the Lord puts on your heart.

• Pray that the people who have never heard about Jesus would have an opportunity to hear and understand the gospel. 2 Peter 3:9

• Pray for those in authority – federal/national, provincial/state and municipal/county government leaders. 1 Timothy 2:1,2

• Pray for Christians ,using Paul’s prayers in Philippians 1:9-11, Colossians 1:9-12, Ephesians 1 :16-19.

Personal Life Evaluation

Ask for understanding as you read an entire book of the Bible.

• Record insights God gives you.

• Ask God what He thinks of your life. Wait. Listen for His answer.

• Evaluate the use of the time, talent, treasure, education and experience God has entrusted to you. Are they glorifying to God? Do you need to change what you are doing?

• Discuss with the Lord your joys, your sorrows and decisions you are facing. Find promises and directives in the Bible which you can record.

When I See The Harvest

A harvest of plenty, an autumn adorned.
With bright colored leaves, a fall festive blend;
A wonderful time for families and friends .

A harvest of pumpkins, a harvest of grain;
A harvest of bounty, and cool autumn rains.
A big harvest moon- way up in the sky;
A harvest of blessing that God has supplied.

Be grateful, be humble, give thanks to the Lord;
He has showered His blessing here in our world.
But have we been faithful , and have we been true?
Have we put God first in all that we do?

A harvest that God sees is not food or crop;
Not pumpkins, or grain, not apples that drop.
But God see the harvest of souls needing Him;
A harvest of people who need saved from their sin.

A harvest of souls and A harvest of love;
A harvest of mercy from our Father above.
When we see the harvest, let's see through God's eyes;
And share with the nations the life He supplies.

I feel to tell you this morning: “Go ahead and Let Go Of the Boat.” There is such a struggle between Faith and Fear but you always need to Look for Jesus in your storm!!! Jesus says “Come”. “COME”!!!!! Jesus wanted Peter to extend his faith so that he could go to another level!! It’s time to grow our faith and step out, but this new level requires you to GO AHEAD LET GO OF THE BOAT ! Keep your eyes on Jesus and let faith lead you in the supernatural!! Nothing is too hard for God! Even the moment that Peter took his eyes off Jesus and began to sink because of fear, Jesus was only a cry away. What you focus on is what rules your heart. Keep your focus on Jesus!!! Don’t be distracted by the winds that can take us down. Never undo in doubt what you do in faith! Don’t let your doubt take you out! Step out in faith towards Jesus even if falling is a real possibility!!! Jesus will reach out to you when you call. Go ahead and LET GO OF THE BOAT! It’s time to grow your faith. Go ahead Walk on Water today!!! Walk forth in Bold Faith! You will know that Jesus will be there to dry you off and catch you when you fall! God is leading us to a new level in the supernatural in prayer today. New levels of Devine experience. I for one want to Let Go of the Boat and walk towards Jesus!!!

“Be Still And Know That I am God”

Sometimes our hearts are heavy. Thoughts bounce off the internal walls at an uncontrollable pace. Giving us no time to settle our thoughts with reason and logic, no, those will not do. There are some moments of internal franticness that you cannot reason yourself out of. Moments where you feel much more fragile than you want to be, then you portray to be.

I had a moment like that not too long ago. My heart was heavy. My soul was downcast. I could not reason my heart back to peace. So what was I to do? I did not feel much like reading my bible at that moment. Neither did I feel like praying. No, these are ‘real matters’ I said to myself. Not spiritual ones. I need to solve the issue, I need to fix it, then I will feel better.

Then I heard a small voice from within, “what if you cannot fix it?”

I sat for a few moments, trying my best to figure out what to do. At that moment, turning to the Bible felt so pointless. What good can this possibly do me? “Fine, I’ll do it,” I said, as I opened to my Psalm of the day. Psalm 46. And I read these lines:

God is our refuge and strength

A very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear

Be still, and know that I am God.

Renew Your Heart This Fall

Psalm 51:10-19

10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

When was the last time you took a moment to intentionally seek the Lord’s presence? Without anything or anyone competing for your attention. Clear out time in your schedule and just be still before God. Make room in your mind to let the Lord restore you to better spiritual health.

Renew your Mind with His Word and in Prayer

With the ongoing chaos in the world, we must not let our minds get so consumed with worldly matters that we miss what God wants us to focus on during this season. We know what the media is saying about what is going on in the world. But do we know what God is saying about it?

Most of us are concerned with our physical and mental health as we should be but let us be just as concerned for our spiritual health as well.

Pray this scripture over yourself.

Psalm 51:10 Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

Let God purify your heart and mind and realign you with his desires for your life. This is such a powerful scripture to lean on if ever you’re feeling out of alignment in your relationship with God.

The most important thing a believer can do is develop a prayer life.  We must keep the fire on the altar. It is the priority of a Christian . It is vital to victory in your life!!!  If you will have a consistent time of prayer, miracles will start opening up in your life!   Go ahead and pray——speak it out loud …. make your requests known to God!   Spend time with Him everyday!!! Never let it be said that we didn’t have because we didn’t ask .  We need a  revival of love of prayer!! Let it rise up in us —- let Zion travail .  Let us stand in the gap for a lost world! Pray, pray, pray!  Effectual fervent prayer of the righteous still  avails much!!!  Anything is possible if you ask and believe!!! Lord teach us to pray and not faint!!
