Unified approach in HE?

Is there potential for a somewhat unified approach to GenAI in the HE sector? e.g. are we going for partnerships with e.g. Microsoft, Google, OpenAI; or going down the custom GPT route; or should we be aiming to create our own in-house, closed AI models?

How are people handling AI reluctance/scepticism/fear among staff when the institution is going full steam ahead with all things AI?
