The pardoner recognises in his prologue that he takes advantage of other people just for the benefit of his own pocket, he also uses tales to resemble people life so he can have a way to hook people into giving him money. The pardoner also recognises that he is a hypocrite because he does not care about what he preaches. The Pardoner descibres three friends who wen in a quest to find death who had killed their friend, but little did they know that there own greed would introduce them to death. When the three friends find gold each one of them become Greedy, selfish , and begin to plot the ultimate scheme to kill one of their friends and stay with the majority of the gold but little did they know that the youngest friend was already planning to kill them both and stay with all the gold. This way the two oldest friend sent the youngest one to pick up food , but mischievously the youngest friend had already planned to poison the bottle of wine which they were going to celebreate with. On his way back his two friends killed him and in the selfish victory they drank the bottle poisoning themselves finding death what they came looking for since the beggning.
