Consider encouraging and appealing this group from two aspects. Firstly, emphasize reproductive freedom: they have the right to decide whether to have a second child without pressure from elders or even their husbands, and this right should be respected by the older generation. Secondly, highlight gender equality in the family: the decision to have a second child should be a careful discussion between both spouses. Men should not be the sole decision-makers; women, as the ones bearing and raising the child, should be fully respected (physical and mental exhaustion/harm) , and their opinions should always be equally valued.

Since the “two-child policy” was raised and enforced by the government, it is crucial for it to put forward some preferential policies and measures at the same time, which could help release the burdern of raising more children, and this could also help carrying out this new “two-child policy”.

The gorvernment should make proactive actions in various aspects such as policies, laws, economics, and society. For example, provide economic allowance, more comprehensive parenting facilities, set parental leave for those parents who are working, etc.

Also, it is essential for the gorvernment to help constructing a new discourse on reproduction that respects women's reproductive autonomy on the basis of gender equality.

When talking about fertility with the older generation in China, it is possible to combine traditional values with modern social realities to show respect and provide understanding and information.

Young people today face a lot of pressure in their lives, not only from competition at work but also from the rising cost of living, such as house prices, education costs, etc. Raising a child takes a lot of time and financial costs, and we want to give our children the best environment to grow up in when we are well prepared.

Childbearing is not only a financial issue, but also a health issue. Many young couples want to make sure they are physically healthy and psychologically prepared before they consider having children.

Everyone has their lifestyle and definition of happiness, and childbirth is an important decision, we want to be able to make the best choice for ourselves at the right time. It's important to pass on family culture and traditions, but this doesn't necessarily need to be done by having more children. We can also continue family traditions in other ways, such as family gatherings and cultural events
