In order to create educational material for the development of the topic of sexual health, the creation of three ppt presentations has been initiated. In the first part of the presentations the subject of sexuality and the sexual life of the individual is developed. In the second part the subject of unplanned pregnancies in adolescents is presented and in the third part Sexually Transmitted Diseases are discussed, with special reference to AIDS.

On 4 November 2023 we had our very first partners' meeting! We introduced ourselves and we discussed about our project, the activities, the netiquette rules and the final product! On Thursday 16/11/2023 Kremasti High School's teachers had their first meeting with the students of the e-twinning 2023-2024 project entitled: "Sexual education and sexual health care". During the meeting we informed the children about the rules of conduct on the Internet and access to the platform, while discussing the project and the activities it will include. They were also given the necessary instructions for their tasks and clarifications about the final product.

We had another online meeting on 25 November with our partners, during which we were given further instructions and clarifications regarding the progress of the programme as well as our first meeting which we are planning for the next few days It was decided that during the children's meeting the questionnaire would be completed and the children would be asked questions and queries regarding the content of the questionnaire.

Attendance of conference on Professional Orientation with a Gender Perspective

On Saturday 25 November 2023, International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, a group of our students attended a conference on Professional Orientation with a Gender Perspective organized by various agencies, among which was our school, High School of Kremasti, the University of the Aegean and the Municipality of Rhodes. Our students had the opportunity to be informed about gender stereotypes in professional environments and how these stereotypes can affect their professional choices and the management of their stress as well. We consider very important to offer such experiences to our students which multiply their perspectives and empower them.

We had today, the 5th December 2023, our first online meeting with our wonderful partners! It was an amazing experience during which the children introduced themselves, presented their school and their region and talked about the activities they are involved in. Everyone enjoyed this meeting, as the atmosphere was very warm and enthusiastic and we look forward to the next meeting!

Today we had a meeting again during which we discussed the project ideas and browsed the net for more information about the topic of sexual education. While it is cold and snowy here in Lithuania, the topic is really burning!

The students groups are ready in the Forum. They can carefully choose among the topics available and start researching and collaborating in the same groups with the students from other countries in the same group. Go to the Forum!

We want to share something very special that is going on in Catalonia (Spain) now and that is social, engaging and involves research. Every year, our little country celebrates a marathon devoted to a social/health topic. There are artists who play, act, sing... for free and there is a special charity programme on TV3 (Catalan channel), which lasts for many hours, in which these artists perform and anyone can donate any amount of money that goes to medical or scientific research. The audience can also learn about a health topic and this year the TV3 marathon is devoted to SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH.

We wanted to share this special national event with you because it connects with the topic of the eTwinning project and because it is an act of solidarity that we would like to transmit to all countries in Europe.

We had marathons for mental health, cancer, Covid 19, health deseases, AIDS, leukemia, etc. It all starte in 1992.

This year's marathon is very special for us. Our students will be learning about sexual and reproductive health, as well as their families would be able to participe in the charity

On Friday 26 January 2024 we held our second online meeting with partners. During the meeting the children first watched the presentation of the school of the new partner-member, the 9th General High School of Piraeus. Questions were then asked about the action and its progress, and the necessary clarifications and instructions were given to the partners regarding the process of collecting information and creating the final product, as well as in relation to posting information and comments on the etwinning platform. Finally, we exchanged information about the children's work and the progress of the research and renewed our appointment for the coming weeks!

On Friday 2 February 2024 we held another online meeting with our partners, during which the children watched the presentation of the school in SW Germany (Handelslehranstalt Bruchsal) and talked to the pupils of the German school, in the context of strengthening the relationship between the two schools. Clarifications were then given on the progress of our joint activities and we renewed our appointment for the coming weeks!

On Friday 9 February 2024 we held another online meeting with our partners. During the meeting the children watched the presentation of the school in Poland (IV LICEUM OGÓLNOSZTAŁCĄCE w ZIELONEJ GÓRZE) and talked with the students of the local high school, in the context of strengthening the relations between the two schools. It is worth noting that the children from our school showed particular interest in the educational system of Poland and asked very pertinent questions to their peers who were making the presentation. Clarifications were then given on the progress of our joint action and we renewed our appointment for the coming weeks!

Grouping and Research

Students from Institut Cambrils (Catalonia- Spain) have already made the groups and started research in the different groups and axes. In AXIS 1, group 1 (Adolescent unwanted pregnacies and abortions) there are four students: and in group 2 (Contraceptive methods) four more students. Then, in AXIS 2 we have 4 students that will work both in Group 1 (Gender Issues) and Group 2 (Sexism) since these topics are related, that is, there is sexism due to gender discrimination. Finally, in the same AXIS 1, group 3 (Sexually Transmited Deseases) we have four student more. All together, sixteen students researching on these topics.

We hope to catch up with the rest of schools and be able to provide interesting views and information, as well as collaborate and intervene in the forums of the corresponding pages.

We are happy to carry on, despite the lack of time or other minor inconveniences.

Educational event for STDs at the High School of Kremasti

On Wednesday 14 February 2024, an informative event on "Sexually Transmitted Diseases - Warts (HPV)" was held at Kremasti High School. The event was addressed to students of the 1st and 2nd grade and was organized in cooperation with the Hellenic Cancer Society - Rhodes Branch. The speaker was the gynecologist - obstetrician Angelidou Irini, who informed the students of our school in detail about the ways of transmission, treatment and especially prevention of Sexually Transmitted Diseases, with special emphasis on HPV warts. The students showed excellent behaviour, attending the presentation with great interest. At the end they discussed with the doctor, expressing their concerns on the topic.

Today 20-2-24 we had the pleasure to attend the presentation of the work undertaken by children participating in our project, which was about abortion. More specifically, the children referred both to the abortion process and the dangers involved, the abortion rates both nationally and globally, and the consequences of banning abortion. This was followed by a very interesting discussion with the children and our colleague Seva Tsaggari who supervised the work and we look forward to the next presentations!

Today 18-4-2024 our students worked on the second axis of the action related to gender, gender discrimination, respect and consent. The children worked on the podcasts, made positive comments on the work of our partners and completed questionnaires on the second axis of the action. We have renewed our appointment for next week!

Today Thursday 25-4-2024 we held our fifth meeting with the partners of the e-twinning 2023-2024 project entitled: "Sexual education and sexual health care”. For the greek students it was the last one, as Easter vacation and Final Exams follow. During the meeting the children discussed their projects, exchanged views on the project and evaluated their participation in it. Finally, they renewed the appointment for next year. It was a meeting that took place in a very friendly and pleasant atmosphere, which concluded another constructive journey in e-twinning!

In order to approach the topics of Axis 2, we had to discuss what gender is. It was important that students could distinguish between biological sex, gender and sexual orientation. We used the jigsaw teaching technique along the project. In this video there is a sample of the work we have been developing. The teacher is meeting with students to check work, discuss and summarize the important points they must explain to the rest of the member of their groups.

Today 18-6-2024 our last meeting with our partners took place. We had the pleasure of having some of the students with us, as in some of the partner countries the scholastic year is not over yet. We had the opportunity to say goodbye and renew our appointment for future collaborations! It was truly a wonderful experience that taught us a lot and brought us in contact with amazing people. QUESTION - DISCUSSION - COOPERATIVE METHODOLOGY IN THE CLASSROOM FOR THE eTWINNING PROJECT 4ESO

I would like to share a moment of our work process, in which it can be observed that we used the formulation of questions to tackle the topics of Axis 1 and 2 in the eTwinning project Sexual Education & Sexual Healthcare. There were moments of discussion a bit intense, but it is nice to see how students are trying hard to communicate their thoughts in English orally. The questions were prepared by other students and this discussion group had to answer them. This exercise was a good way to introduce students to the topic in the first steps of the project. It also guided them to focalize research according to the interests and needs of the group.
