Germany's primary object was to compel Britain to sign a peace agreement. Britain was later successful through not signing the agreement and eventually defeated the Nazi German.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Operation Overlord was the codename for "The Battle of Normandy". This occurred June 6- August 25, 1944. It occurred in Normandy, France. This was an issue for allied nations coming together to later advance to take down Hitler since he was destroying everything. So yes this was a success for France, which later led the take down of Germany and France. <br><br></div>]]></description>

This battle crippled the Japanese combined fleets, permitted by the U.S. invasion of the Philippines and reinforced the Allies'control of the Pacific. Therefore, the Allied had yet another victory.</div>]]></description>
