I think that if everyone is already on the same page. Everyone is open to give ideas, because it helps to have a fluidity of ideas coming through whether they are good or bad. After the ideas have gone through, the group as a whole can always bring to light which ones are the best. It is about being a part of a team, not just "the person" that everyone goes to to take your ideas.
