As the third teacher, this training made me realize the deeply ingrained concept of learning environment. I realized that the learning environment of a classroom is not just a physical space; it actively fosters the development of a child. I learned how to observe and plan spaces which encourage curiosity, discovery, and self-directness.I now see how important it is to create areas that are inviting, comfortable, and packed with features that support play-based learning.I learned that I can greet and integrate children by incorporating natural lighting, peaceful environments, and culturally relevant artifacts. Having learned these things about the components, I am now more comfortable designing spaces that respect children's interests and support social, emotional, and physical development.
