In the book, different families value these different types of intelligence and ways of teaching. 
3. Home school vs. in-person school is also a real world example. Scout felt like she could learn all she needed to at home, which is similar to home school nowadays. The different subjects distribute different types of intelligence that are needed to succeed in the class. This connects to the story due to the fact that all of the characters bring a different type of intelligence needed to solve different types of problems in the story.
