I think we should supplement with Heggerty. According to what I know in my educated opinion, I believe we need to supplement with Heggerty. Taking into consideration that oral language is a major problem this year.

Is this assessment RELEVANT? should not we do a sound screener as they suggest? it would give us a better idea for our WIN time. Strokes does not give me an idea, how many sounds they now lets me know who is struggling or not, who needs to be in tier 2 in the beginning of the year.

Rhyming and Syllables supplementation

Rhyming is only address in SKILLS 5 L1 once. We can think of a way to embed rhyming instruction during Nursery Rhymes (there is a rhyming assessment in Domain 1)

Syllables is not taught or addressed in any SKILLS unit. only compound words are mentioned.

Letter Sounds Assessments
