There were 4.2 million children living in poverty in the UK in 2021/2022. That is one in three children. 

4.2 million in 2018-19, up from 4.1 million the previous year, equating to roughly 30% of all children.

Around 14.5 million people are living in poverty, including 8.1 million people in working families, and 4 million are in “deep poverty”, meaning they live at least 50% below the breadline
