While I don't think this would halt basic greetings and interactions with a child, genius or not, I believe many people would not know how to interact with him. How many geniuses let alone child geniuses does the average person run into on a given day?

He'd be much smarter than children his own age possibly even his own parents. The things children like and the things adults like don't always or even often overlap. When these hobbies or interests do overlap society tends to frown on the interacting of the two groups due to age difference. 

The things that overlaps from childhood to adulthood tend to be fantasy genres in the forms of things like video games or books. He seemed to show an interest in at least one of these things.

The picture I chose is from a book about a child genius. He was predisposed to being quite brilliant at different things. This natural gift combined with his parents nurturing it allowed him to be recognized as a genius. I imagine everyone around him who recognized his intelligence and skill also encouraged him to pursue and do more of what he was already amazing at.  Who doesn't like a winner?
