I think getting healthier is always a good thing to strive for. The only thing left is to figure out your diet and workout plans, which will come from research.

~The easiest way to get in shape is to do a variety of activities, but do activities that are most exciting and interesting to you because doing the same thing everyday can be challenging.
~Start simple!
~Definitely gradual, don't just jump in and cut everything out of your diet

I might be biased, but I do think that running is an easy way to begin with getting in to shape. It's easy, you can listen to music, and it's something that honestly just makes you feel better and feel more in shape. I don't know much about dieting but I do think that as part of a workout plan and lung strengthening plan, running could help you a lot.

I think that this is a really good plan to go after. Years ago, I had the same goal, and I ended up achieving it by starting to run more often. Also, I do not have research to back this up, but I feel like exercise has a more immediate impact than dieting does.

Love this idea. It's DEFINITELY better to start small and gradually go into it. If you start with like a week of super healthy meals and big workouts, you'll get really burnt out really fast and that's no fun. Measure your 30 day progress by how you gradually do more each day and become more strict with your efforts. There are these 10 or 30 minute workouts I do on a website called PopSugar Fitness, there's also a YouTube channel called Blogilates that is really great. It's fun and peppy and helps to do workouts with other people. Another thing that could help, have a friend from outside school do this channel with you.

This is a wonderful topic. Sometimes one of the best things you can do for your lungs and body is nothing at all. As long as you haven't altered your body with any bad substances, then your already healthyish. Working out and eating a good diet will only add on to it.

Nice! I think this is a really great goal to go after. I agree with what Joe and Joey say about running. I'm not very good at running unless I'm in season for a sport that runs a lot, but when I do run, I feel just...cleaner, ya know? Now I have to warn you about running, you can't just not be a runner and then say, "Yeah! I'm going to be healthy and run five miles today!" No. You will barely get past a half mile running if you haven't been running for a while. If you want to start running, I would research some workouts for beginning runners. And don't forget to drink lots of water!!!!!! You can do it!!!!
