Last summer, I painted our house. The job took about two weeks. First, I washed the exterior with warm water and a mild detergent. Then I sealed all the chinks and pores with putty. After the putty dried, I painted the exterior with a latex paint. It is easy to apply and cleans up with water. This part of the job took a whole week. We have a two-story house, so I needed a tall ladder. I had to balance the paint can on the top rung while I worked. The paint was close to the original color. I only used one coat because I made sure to apply it evenly. When I finished, I felt a great deal of satisfaction. I had to pat myself on the back. Even my dad said that I did a good job.
