I loved how The dog starts with wanting a donut and then asking for more things as time goes on. When he runs out of something, he ask for something else. He wants juice, apples, to play outside, and then he picks apples again which reminds him of apple juice and then ending with wanting a donut again. It reminds me of when I was a child, so it made me laugh! This book is good for someone who loves dogs. This is a great book to start with in the morning time to get little ones brains moving to start the day.

I loved how it talks about the different ways the ducks are stomping, hopping, and the different colors in their boots. I would use this in a lesson to teach children about colors as well as how to use their gross motor skills. I feel like this book is fun and a good interactive read. It gives the children movements they can try while listening to the book.

I think the point I got from it is even when someone is mean and doesn’t let you play on the playground first and tries to bully you, there is always someone in the world that could come along and stand up for everyone and change the way someone treats others. I loved how dramatic Mean Jean was and how Katie Sue did not care. Katie sue did a great job. The moral of the story is never to give up no matter what. It had a plot that was easy to follow. It also was a good way to not only show that you can succeed in your own goals but also to not give up when dealing with people. It made me laugh when she crushed the cookies by stepping on them and I was shocked that people bought them. You can make it through anything and this graphic novel put that well. It would be a good book for someone who might be struggling with giving up everytime they start something, it would be a good book at school for down time like when waiting for the bus.

I loved how Rebecca didnt care what anyone said but followed her heart and was able to act in a movie. I feel this book would be good for someone who loved being an actress themselves. I would use this book to teach a history lesson comparing and contrasting life for women in the 1900s to life for women in present time.

The character Nick made me feel as though he was just trying to contently pull a fast one on Mrs. Ganger. He always was trying to pass time with silly Questions. I feel this is a good book for someone who likes humor and playing jokes. This would be a good book to use when teaching on meanings of words, including what a word symbolizes, metaphors for words, synonyms for words.

I loved that the third graders were able to prove to Chief Douglas that they were good detectives and were able to solve the case of who robbed the banks. This book would be good for someone who was interested in mysteries and solving crime. This book would be a good one to read when a teacher is teaching on characters. There are a lot of characters and they have a ton of differences and similarities.

I am not really into baseball, I prefer football, so all of the history on baseball was boring to me. I respect the fact that is was detailed and had facts about baseball. I did feel sad when the dad did not care about the son and and his love for baseball. He was always criticizing his son. This book would be a good read for someone who loved baseball and the history of the sport. I would use this book to teach sequence of events. There were a timeline of events including every day life such as birthdays and the start of seasons to a sequence of events that includes a time line of baseball history and important dates that are the same dates of wars.

While I liked that it had ligament facts about elections, I thought it was a bit weird to have a werewolves running for president. The one thing I did like was the demonstration of an electionand the steps to it. This is a good book to use for younger children to get their feet wet in learning about elections with the fiction like aspect of the werewolf. I would use this book as a history lesson to teach about elections in America. Im sure kids who like ware wolves and being a leader would like this book.

There is a special bond between a horse and their owner. This is shown in the text because there are difficulties with trusting one another. I love that it was set back in the 1790s because it also gives some context of how Native Americans lived back in the day as well. This book would be good for anyone who loves horses. I would use this to teach on trust, friendship, and illustrations in text. The illustrations are very detailed. Kids who are interested in horses would like this book.

This could be because I am not interested in graphic novels at all. The only thing I did like about it was that I know that a child reading this would be able to understand what the text is saying based of the images given through illustration. Someone who likes adventures and alot of illustrations would love this book. I dont see myself being able to teach anything from this other than the use of illustrations to tell a story. For me there is no teaching point, But I would put it in my classroom library for someone who does like graphic novels.

I enjoyed seeing tiger having a monster as a bestfriend and the monster try and figure out how to beat the nightmare. In return tiger is actual the one who beat the nightmare and it just made me laugh and was a silly but funny book. Someone who liked monsters and humor would like this graphic novel. I would use this to teach that it doesn't matter how different you may be from someone, sometimes the unexpected friendships are the best.

Not only did they give accurate numbers, but to be able to make it to where a child understood it the author compared it to cars, trucks, ect. I love that because we have to make lessons in ways that children will understand it. This is a good book for students who love books about whales or mammals. I could use this as a teaching point paired with other books to talk about similarities and differences with different mammals.
