Repetition also helps to get a good beat across and play that part multiple times to make the piece of music seem better. Humans love to listen to a song that pleases their ears over and over which means hearing the same beat or phrase repeated over and over pleases their ears. One of the earliest examples of repetition was "It's Gonna Rain" by Steve Reich. He used technology, of his time, to repeat a phrase over and over by looping the tape at different speeds. This has been very effective to todays time because almost every song uses repetition to get its points across.
