The quality of being a man that were thought in my family is that even though you are sad you do not cry. growing up my dad thought me that even though i was a girl he said that even if something dies crying will not bring them back so why cry. Another thing is that the man is always the man in the house (even when your dad is sometimes scared of your mom)

inuyasha is a popular anime that would come out on tv around the 2000-2012 growing up what this anime taught me about toxic masculinity is that toxic masculinity is defined as suppressing emotions, maintaining an appearance of hardness, or violence as an indicator of power. These ways of thinking coincide with the ideologies that boys cannot express themselves freely anything less than that makes them weak. in the anime inuyasha had to be strong to protect his love ones from people who were trying to kill him and the people around him by not showing emotion that meant that he had more power. his older brother said that emotions make one week.

how i see my self in 5 to 10 years is someone that people can rely on and respect . Growing up I've always wanted to be a vet many vet doctors that i know are men and the nurses are mostly women. i want to be someone that they can trust there pets with and they know that they will be fine even if there is a point when i cant save an animal. many times they over charge and the animal doesn't even make it or they give up because they know they will die I experienced this first hand. These wounds will encourage me to help people not go through what I did
