Most recently, he served as a site infrastructure senior analyst for Mars, Inc., in Franklin, Tennessee, a role in which he led multiple integration and infrastructure transformation projects. Among other projects, Phillip Marress spearheaded the migration of 14 legacy servers onto the Mars infrastructure after the company acquired Doane Pet Care. Before joining Mars, Phillip Marress served as an independent contractor and infrastructure site technician who worked on several major projects, including designing and implementing a remote PC network for a 250-member sales team for pet food manufacturer Nutro. He began his career as a desktop support engineer with the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services, where he led all daily ticket support and managed network printers. Among other achievements in this position, he planned and built a Linux Terminal Server that provided virtual sessions for the staff. Mr. Marress holds an AAS in computer networking technology from Nashville State Community College.
