Age group:
This book is suitable for ages 8-11 years. This is because it teaches children about acceptance with the use of variety of gramma and illustrations. 

Type of read:
It is a great read for children to read with their families. It illiterates good English literature for children to follow and understand. Furthermore, it is a fun read with comedy and silly words for children to engage in. The book can be read as a whole group or individually.

Activities that correspond with the book:
This book can be relatable to some of the children within the classroom, for those who have grandparents or a family member they may feel disconnected to, it can allow them to connect and relate to the book which can open up discussions and questions. 

An activity to follow could be role play. The teacher will play the role of the granny or Ben and model some questions that the children can follow. Then let the children take over and allow them to ask questions and provide solutions on how to cope with acceptance and how to build on family relationships. 

Another activity could be getting the children to write a diary entry from Bens perspective, after reading the book. They can write a diary entry on how Ben was feeling about seeing his grandmother at the beginning to then how Ben feels now after their adventures. The teacher can model this by modelling some sentence structures with the children's correspondence too. This book can be used for children aged 6-12 years. this is because this book touches on empathy, it helps children understand other peoples lives around them and their feelings, it can be introduced to children at age 6 to give them an introduction to empathy and compassion and the book can be used for older ages to delve a deeper understanding of the theme

Type of read:
this is an easy read with lots of illustrations for visual learning. the sentences are very simple and easy to follow. This book can be for a whole class read or even an individual read. however, I believe this book would benefit the children more if it was read in groups or as a whole class because of the meaning behind the story has a lot of emotional impact.

Activities to correspond:
before reading the book the children can discuss what they think the book is going to be about. they can look at the front page and create an idea of the story. after this the children can read the book. whilst reading they can 'read between the lines'. the teacher stops and asks what the children think will happen next nd what they can see in the pictures to help them look for clues in the story.

This book will help children understand divorce between parents as the story guides you through the journey of two children and their lives with their parents who argue and separate themselves from one another until they come to an agreement to live separate lives but which can still be connected with a tunnel so that the children can still see each parent. This book can help children who's parents are going through this to allow them to understand that its okay.

Age Group:
 I believe this book can be used in KS1 and KS2 because children at any age can experience this with their families so it's a great way or the children to gain support and reassurance from this book.

Type of read:
This book covers behavior problems, families and divorce. 
I believe this book is best as a whole class read because it covers aspects of PSHE that can be upsetting or sensitive for some children.

Activities to correspond:
The children could do a character portrait of one of the main characters and do a roll on the wall as a class too discussing how the characters may be feeling.

They could also write diary entries about how the characters felt after the un-wedding to incorporate emotion and feelings

this could link to PSHE and can lead to a discussion on how to cope in these situations and how we can get support.

The Prince lives with his mother, the Queen. The Prince tries to find a princess for himself however they are all too polite when they stay because they do not mention the pea in the mattress. This makes the Queen angry. One day a girl appears at night to the Queens house and sleeps on the mattresses with the pea. The Prince, in secret speaks to the girl about the pea and the girl in the morning complains about it. The queen is delighted and the Prince and the girl get married. It is a spin off tale of the Princess and the Pea.

Age Group: 
3-6 years because the language used in the book is simple and not too challenging for this age range and the language used in the book is age appropriate for this age and upwards too.

Type of read:
This book has lots of great illustrations. It is a nice read for the children that can engage them and be enjoyable to read. I would use this book as a group read, or a whole class read, as well as individual too.

activities to correspond:
The children can create stick puppets of the prince and princess and re-tell the story using role play. or they can draw the characters down and write about the story.

The children can hot seat. The teacher can be the princess and the children can ask questions to the teacher and then they can take in turns hot seating in order to get the children fully engaged.

 8-12 because this text is more complex with its word choices and it would be challenging. 

Type of read:
it is an exciting read with lots of new vocabulary to explore, it can be thrilling and very descriptive but an engaging book to read. this book has a mini book of the mouse inside which makes it even more exciting for the children to want to know more. This book can be done as a whole class read because the children can create their own mini books just like the mouse incorporating design and technology with this book by designing mini pop up books with the characters from the story

activities to correspond:
the children can read the mini book on the mouse and write a short story about a new adventure the mouse and Ada can go on.

the children can create story maps of what they think will happen next within the story which will promote their cognitive development

 8-13 years because this book has lots of alliteration, onomatopoeia and rhyming whereas it has lots of punctuation for the children to pick up on it can be a challenging read for younger children. 

Type of read: 
This book is an exciting read because it uses  lots of new and interesting words for the children to discover that make it engaging and fun to read. This book can be an individual read or a class read.

Activities to correspond:
This book focuses on how to deal with mixed feelings is an activity to correspond to this book is the children could write a character profile for grandma or George and write about how they feel. This then allows the children to engage with the characters emotions and promotes their literacy development.

Another activity is this book could be used to help talk about well-being about how we can help one another. It also promotes safety over medicines and children can sit in a circle at circle time and we can discuss ways we can keep healthy and well. 

Another activity is that the children could do conscience alley where this will build the children's cognitive development though decision making.
