I think out of all the wonderful things on this earth, two things bring me the most joy: My People and Cooking.

My people are my family, my friends, my partner, and those who are happy to welcome a conversation with me! I love spending time with people, being social, and connecting with those around me. When I am alone, nothing makes me happier than spending time in my kitchen cooking. I love the process of it all, and even when I am starving I take my time to prepare my meal with love. Being half Italian, I love making pastas and roasting vegetables but I am also in love with the spices and freshness of a lot of Mexican cuisine (which I also spend a lot of time preparing). The only way that I could be more joyful than when doing these two things separately is combining them to cook for those I love.

Things that bring me joy are truly making a difference in people's lives, big or small. Through work, volunteering, and soon to be a career in education, having a positive impact on people's lives make me feel very honoured in the process. Working in sales over the last 4 years has provided me the opportunity to aid people in decision making and discovering what best suits their needs. Then having those same people come as returning customers is constantly satisfying. While the transition into the classroom won't be sales related, that same impact of having a positive impression while in a professional field is something I continuously strive for.

Outside of the professional field, my friends, family, my partner, and sports all bring me joy. Being able to surround myself with good company helps me stay grounded and decompress when I am not in the academic or work setting.

My cat. Need I say more? Life can be unpredictable and scary, but the one thing I can rely on to calm me down and keep me grounded is my cat. My cat provides me with a sense of consistency and routine that I desperately need, especially when things become overwhelming. Overall, taking care of my cat and ensuring he is comfortable and healthy brings me great joy!

Something that brings me joy is travelling to new places and immersing myself into the culture. I have had the opportunity to live and work in many different places, which allowed me to fully get a grasp on how others experience the world, as well as learn new cultures and languages. My favourite experience was living in a tiny town in Italy called Cortona for one month. I was able to experience the quiet countryside life in a small town, while also working. I learned about Italy's work/life balance which differs greatly from ours which we experience here. It gave me a different perspective on how people think about careers and that there are many other work-lives than the usual 9-5.

I struggled to answer the questions because we live in a world with infinite joys. However, this vastness is too much to take in all moments, which may make us feel their is no way to find joy because we can't pick.

What really bring me joy is giving people joy. I love to cook not for me but for others to enjoy. In my bleak part-time job, what brings me joy is helping people understand and learn, helping people not feel alone and cared for (I work at bank). What brings me joy is creating a moment with someone that we will both remember for our lives. I get joy from the satisfaction knowing that I was able to give a part of me to someone (even saying high, smiling or laughing with someone).

Personally, my faith is the biggest thing that brings me joy. I feel at peace knowing I can lean onto Someone who I know is always looking out for me, Who's with me, and walks alongside me through good days and bad days. Simply, knowing Jesus as my friend brings me joy.

My family brings me joy too. Spending time with my fiance, his parents and grandmother, and my cousins always puts more strength in my heart through the laughs we share. Knowing that Christmas season is coming makes me joyfully expectant that I'll get to see my family more often to make more memories.

When thinking about what brings me joy in life, there's a lot of things that do, but to narrow them down is more difficult. My amazing family would be at the top of the list; my mama, papa, and my little brother. Their unending support and love keep my head up high every day. My cousins, my friends, my coworkers - they all bring me joy as well. I'm really priveledged to be in such a loving family environment.

There's also the superficial things like cooking, drawing, reading, and watching my favourite shows!

This seemingly simple question is one that I find a bit difficult to answer. Personally, I try to find joy and beauty in all aspects of life. Apart from the fundamental sources of joy in my life such as my loved ones, one thing that currently brings me lots of joy is the beautiful array of colourful autumn leaves. Autumn is my favourite season, and I eagerly wait year-long to be able to see the beautiful warm-toned leaves re-emerge every year. Nature as a whole is a huge source of joy for me. Beyond autumn, I enjoy witnessing winter's crystalline snowflakes, spring's beautiful blooming florals, and summer's warm, golden sunlight. I believe that everyone should try to find joy in the more mundane or 'little' things, which for me, is appreciating every shade of natural beauty our world has to offer.

When reflecting on what brings me joy, two big things that come to mind are my faith and my family/friends. My faith gives me perspective during hard times. I am able to see a greater purpose for the challenges I endure. As well, my faith has encouraged me to serve others. This is one of the reasons I am so passionate about teaching. I hope that I can help the students in my care to learn a lot and become great people!

Additionally, my family and friends bring me so much joy everyday. I am extremely grateful for my parents, my sister, my grandparents and extended family. These people shaped who I am and always support me. Sunday lunches at my grandparents' houses with my parents, sister, aunts, uncles, and cousins were a weekly event. I grew up very close to extended family and this taught me how important these relationships are. Further, the friends I have made from elementary school to present have become like family to me! I am so lucky to have incredible people in my life who are so loving and caring.

There are also all the little things that bring me joy! Like coffee, a sunny day, a pretty scenery, a good walk, etc.,
