وعن عمر بن الخطاب، رضي الله عنه، قال: "تَعَلَّمُوا الْعَرَبِيَّةَ فَإِنَّهَا تُثَبِّتُ الْعَقْلَ، وَتَزِيدُ فِي الْمُرُوءَةِ"، أَبِي مُوسَى الأشعري: "أَمَّا بَعْدُ فَتَفَقَّهُوا فِي السُّنَّةِ،


وَتَفَقَّهُوا فِـي الْعَرَبِيَّةِ، وَأَعْرِبُـوا الْقُـرْآنَ فَإِنَّهُ عَرَبِيٌ"، الكتاب المصنف في الأحاديث والآثار، أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة.

قصيدة أمير الشعراء أحمد شوقي التي يجلي فيها جمال اللغة العربية منشدًا:

إن الذي ملأ اللغات محاسنا  * جعل الجمال وسره في الضاد

ويراها خير رابط بين العرب قائلاً:

ويجمعنا إذا اختلفت بلاد *
