It was 9th grade. One student came in. Sat down. He crumpled at his desk and began to convulse in deep seated sorrow. Crying. Soul wrenching sobs; but quietly. I am extremely empathetic. I got a box of tissues placed them on the desk. Crouched down patted his hand and did not know what to do. I quietly cried next to him. We dried our tears and he did not want to talk. "Moved on." He never cried again. It was weeks before another student arrived. Her name was Sasha. Unforgettable as well.
