         <description><![CDATA[<div>To me, the verbally talented students are the ones who are able to read critically without much guidance. <br>For most of our students, who are considered ESL learners,  a lot of scaffolding has to be provided for them to attain a deeper understanding of what they have read. However, most of them reply  on their teachers to go beyond the 'surface' of the text. They need to be more self-reliant by reading more and giving themselves more opportunities to analyse the text critically.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Totally agree with this statement.<br>This is especially important since we live in such a globalised society nowadays.<br>However,  the responsibility of the build up of knowledge does not have to rest on the shoulders of the teachers alone. Students can be given the chance to co-construct  this knowledge with the teachers since many of them possess globalised prior knowledge with the frequent use of internet. Also, many of them travel on a regular basis with their family members. <br><br></div>]]></description>
