   The book I read was Bud, Not Buddy by Christopher Paul Curtis. I think the book was an adventure type book. I think adventure because bud was trying to find his father. So Lefty Lewis drove Bud to find his father from Flint, to Hooverville, to Grand Rapids. Then Bud found the place where Herman E. Calloway was (which was the person he thought was his father). The setting of all of this was mainly in Grand Rapids. Since the author mentioned a lot of detail I kind of felt like I was part of the adventure. The main character was believable and Bud was very interesting.

   I think the book Pie can relate to some things in the book Bud, Not Buddy. The thing that the books can relate are that they are both adventure books. The most interesting part of the book to me is when Bud finds his father Herman E. Calloway. I would recommend this book to other people because the book tells you what the orphans had/have to go through. I give the book a thumbs up because it describes everything Bud had to go through and what he had to do to get to where he is now.

   Bud was very Determined. He was very Determined because he wanted to find his father who he thinks is Herman E. Calloway. Also bud is very Adventurous. He is Adventurous because he was always on the go. He went from Flint, to Hooverville, to Grand Rapids. Bud is very Curious too. He is Curious because when he was on his way to Grand Rapids and Lefty Lewis (Lefty Lewis was the person who was driving) got pulled over he started wondering all kinds of things.

   Bud is very Polite. He is Polite because when someone asked if he wanted something, or if he asked someone for something he would always use his manners. Bud is also kind of Sneaky. He is Sneaky because in the story when he was at the Amos’s and they locked him in the shed he snuck out of the shed. Then he snuck into their house and got his stuff and ran away. Lastly Bud is very very Brave. He is Brave because he was ableto sneak out of the Amos’s house, and to get in the car with with a stranger, and a whole bunch of other things.
