I have been researching independently along with using the resources that I have learned about through these classes. Unfortunately, there is not any professional development planned through my district. However, I am planning to attend the Medford and Winchester Public Schools Transition Fair. There, I may learn more about some transition assessments.

Transition assessments are beneficial for the student and for the adults working with the student. How do we learn what the student's goals, strengths, references, learning styles, and needs are? We let the student tell us or guide us. Transition assessments are tools that help us gather this information. These assessments may be independently completed by the student, completed with another person, or completed by another person.
