Date: 2/25/18
15 minutes
Pages: 1-8
Response:

I just found a new book called Book Scavenger by Jennifer Chambliss Bertman. I just finished the first chapter and it is already very exciting. So far someone was shot just because of a book. Barry and Clyde were assigned to find " a really old book." The two knew that Mr. Griswold had a book, but they didn't know what book. Clyde thought that shooting someone would be worth a book. Barry did not agree and Barry didn't know that Clyde was going to shoot Mr. Griswold. Mr. Griswold is not dead but the two men just left him there and didn't want to get caught. The book that Mr. Griswold was carrying was one of his own; the book contained most of his thoughts. The book was called "The Golden-Bug" and he needed the book to launch his game.

Date: 2/26/18
16 minutes
Pages: 8-16
Response:
I'm currently reading Book Scavenger by Jennifer Chambliss Bertman. So far I think it is a pretty good book. I chose a picture of the United States of America because the main character Emily moves a lot. In the book it said that Emily's family moves a lot, her parents want to live in every state for some amount of time. Emily's parents are able to take their work on the road as long as they have a computer. I think that this would be very cool. You would get to go to every state you would see new things all the time. There would be so many different experiences. Although on the down side you wouldn't stay at one place for long so it would be hard to keep friends and you would change schools often. Emily said she doesn't mind moving she thinks it's cool but she also said that it's hard to keep friends. Mr. Griswold someone that Emily really likes and they are moving to San Francisco which is where he hold his games. I think that Emily is going to find Mr. Griswold book to continue his games.

Date:3/2/18
10 minutes
Pages: 32-36
Response:
Right now I am reading the book "Book Scavenger" by Jennifer Chambliss Bertman. The book just told me that Mr. Griswold is in the hospital because of his injury. The men that injured Mr. Griswold are named Barry and Clyde. Barry and Clyde had to get a book called "The Golden Bug" which is the book that Mr. Griswold had but they threw it to the side. Someone ordered the men to get the book so I wonder if there boss will be mad at them. I'm also curious to see if the book will still be at the train station where the men were. I don't think that the book is going to be there and they will have a very hard time finding it.

Date:3/3/18
11 minutes
Pages: 36-42
Response:
I'm reading the book "Book Scavenger" and I found a connection. In the book it says that Emily and her brother Matthew don't do anything together but when they were little they were inseparable. This reminds me of me and my brother because when we were little we would always play together. Although now my brother and I hardly talk. Luckily Emily persuaded Matthew to go with her and James to go book hunting. I think that book hunting would be so fun and cool to do. I think that it would be really fun to live in San Francisco because author does a really good job of explaining the city in detail. The author makes San Francisco seem so cool. Also I think that the book scavenging would be a really neat way to tour the city since you have to go to all different places.
