Beyond the cse meetings, ask for a separate transition meeting and get all stakeholders at the table. Always start by asking the student who they feel is on their team.

Talk to your child about their interests, likes and dislikes especially concerning what kind of work they might want to do in the future. Give them a chance to volunteer in the community to get a feel of what the kind of work they might want to do might feel like ( volunteer in an animal shelter)
