She eventually fights in a competition with an ailias to hide her true "Quenn of Assassins" title to become the King's champion. There is definitely more to the story than just a competition as there are literally tons of books to come and even a prologue book to deepen the understanding of the main character and her past. This will be a very entertaining book to read for those who like violence, mystery, risk, romance, and unlikely friendships.
