Well that is true and they expanded it 6 times from 2 acres to 13 acres. That is a very big achievement for the Bahamas.   Another thing the the Bahamas did was they reduced the tax on biodegradable bags to help the environment. Because the Bahamas is a small country they don’t have that many medals, but every year they have athletes in the Olympics.  In 2016 Tynia Gaither ran for the bahamas in round 1 heat 2 and almost got 3rd place. Also in 2016 Dustin Tynes sawm the 200 meter backstroke in 1.03 seconds but did not win a medal.  The Bahamas have won some medals. It was a Category 5 hurricane and it hit right at the little country.  It will cost the Bahamas an estimated $1.5 billion to $3 billion to fix and clean up from hurricane Dorian. A study shown in 2016 has the following results shown 22.39% of the people in the Bahamas are between the ages of 0 and 14. Out of that 22.39% 37,777  of them are males and the other 36,686 area females. 16.01% of the people in the Bahamas are between the ages of 15 and 24. 26,948 people out of the 16.01% are males and 26, 281 of them are females. 44.1% off people in the Bahamas are between 25 and 54 years old. That is almost half of the population. Out of that 44.1% 73,627  of them are male and 73,068 are female. 9.45% of the people in the area are between 55-64 years old. The majority of those people are females. Out of 9.45% 17,140 are females and the other 14,627 are males. Than the rest of the people 65 and older take up 8.05% of the population.
