         <description><![CDATA[<p><em>Strategy 1</em></p><p>Cultural representation in the room</p><ul><li><p>Throughout the room, things like flags, artwork, and pictures of famous people from different cultures are displayed.</p></li><li><p>Having a bulletin board where it centers around the culture of the month rotating different cultures and highlighting them.</p></li><li><p>Include different authors that reflect different cultures, races, and genders.</p></li></ul><p><em>Strategy 2</em></p><p>Making the room a multilingual environment</p><ul><li><p>Putting labels on thing but in a different language like for bathroom put the Spanish, French or another.</p></li><li><p>Have a welcome sign where it says welcome in many different languages.</p></li><li><p>On the bulletin board, it features the language that goes with the culture.</p></li></ul><p><em>Strategy 3</em></p><p>Safe Space seating</p><ul><li><p>Have a spot for students who need a quiet moment or need/want to pray.</p></li><li><p>Have seats in a circle formation or cluster formation.</p></li></ul><p><em>Strategy 4</em></p><p>Create classroom norms</p><ul><li><p>Establish a set of classroom rules and procedures that focus on respect, inclusion, and empathy.</p></li><li><p>Using phrases like "we celebrate differences" helps students view the classroom as a united front.</p></li></ul>]]></description>
