Assuming that the nurture theory is valid, the expected results should be that Brenda would successfully be raised as a girl, comfortable in her femininity. Also, because the nurture theory suggests that identity is based on environmental factors, Brenda's masculine genes and tendencies should be dormant.

The results of studies in humans agree with the studies in rodents because of how exposure to sex hormones occurring in the fetal stage affects childhood development. The advice that I would give to parents who are considering gender reassignment of a male infant who doesn't have a penis but functional testicles are that either way, their child that is born a male is going to have masculine mannerisms. The testicles provide testosterone that wires the brain a certain way. Therefore, they could be reassigned to be a female and still have the desire to be a male, evidently undergoing surgery to revert back to their original identity.

Aspects of David's experiences which help support the nature theory is David not liking anything feminine or having to deal with female tendencies, him using the bathroom standing up instead of sitting down, some of his features he seen and his brother was that he look masculine and strong, he would rip and tear off dresses his mother would make him wear, and the last thing was that he and his brother felt as if he was a boy but he just had longer hair then his brother is all.
