Named for Frederick Law Olmsted, the LAF Olmsted Scholars Program with its $25,000 graduate and $15,000 undergraduate prize is the premier leadership recognition program for landscape architecture students.

This project aims to focus on degrowth and enhancing/restoring existing social and ecological environments.

This conference aimed to adress regenerative design, taking initiative beyond just sustainability and focusing on revitalising a landscapes environmental and cultural legacy. It also focused on the implementation of interdislipinary and collaborative approaches to fragmented environments; calling for cooperative action from urban planners, ecologists, social scientists, architects, landscape architects, etc. Moreover it grounded these visions into a pragmatised stratedgy through looking at transition approaches, how do we materially augment these transformations of landscapes. Precedents were also an important factor that fostered realistic application of ideas. This conference achieved networking, knowledge sharing, and innovation in education.

Uses Landscape architecture to focus on key aspects of green infrastructure, racial equity, climate action, transportation for all, water and stormwater management, and parks and recreation.

ASLA provides awards to both LA professionals and students. There are many different categories which participants can submit their work. These awards are all current and were handed out in 2024. Some of these categories are general design, urban design, residential design, analysis and planning, research, and communications. All the categories also show example of work that has been awarded. while the professional awards section mostly focuses on showcasing projects and the work created, the student section not only highlights the work they have made but also the students themselves.

CELA Awards honor faculty for excellence in teaching, research and creativity.

Students are recognized for creative scholarship and research.

The LAF Fellowship for Innovation and Leadership was established to foster transformational leadership capacity and drive positive change beyond the traditional scope of landscape architecture practice.

The $25,000 fellowship is an opportunity for landscape architecture professionals to dedicate the equivalent of 3 months’ time over the course of one year to nurture emerging ideas and to think deeply. It is designed as a time to reflect, research, explore, create, test, and develop ideas into action.

  This competition focuses on designing a rehabiltative approach, the future of, and innovate ideas that would help a peri-urban landscape that has undergone continuous urban sprawl and suburbanization by the Danube River corridor. For millennia, the Danube has been a transnational cultural and natural connector leaving multiple layers of identity and very specific spatial imprints on the landscape.
