The nobles gave upper lords money on special occasions. The nobles also gave upper lords food and shelter if needed. The nobles became lords if they gained enough land.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Peasants(serfs)</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Most peasants didn't own land but some did. Peasants grew vegetables and they lived in small houses. They also harvested crops also, the peasants weren't part of the feudal system.  The peasants mostly farmer or and worked on lands owned by nobles and knights. Peasants couldn't read or write and the couldn't leave the land.</div>]]></description>

In 1137 she became queen of France.<br>Eleanor was a vassal to the king of France. In 1377 she married King Louis the 7. Strangely she divorced him and married Henry the 2 of England so then, Eleanor became queen of England. Eleanor was the mother of a future king Richard the Lion head.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Most people lived in small houses on a manors. Around the year 100 the situation began to change . Towns became large cities at the same time new towns appeared. Europe's population began to grow mostly because there was more food. Trade was increasing. The knights were unhappy of only getting land so they demanded they get money instead of land. The knights demanding money instead of land weakened the manor system . The plague also weakened the manor. The Crusades led to people leaving  the manor.<br> </div>]]></description>
