organised- they need to be organised so they have everything arranged and prepared for the show to keep it running smoothly 
alert- if something were to go wrong during the set they need to be alert so they can solve the problem quickly and effectively
aware- the stage manager needs to be aware of everything going on so that they can know what's happening at all times.
pro-active- being pro-active is controlling the situation rather than responding to it after its happened.
good time keeping - as a stage manager time keeping is very important. for example when reading queues for the lighting.
