It is the oldest and biggest temple in Tokyo. In 628, fisherman brothers built this temple. They had caught a Buddha statue at Sumida River before catch the fish. And then, they built Senso-ji to enshire it. Senso-ji was destroyed in the Pacific War, so it was restored in 1960. It was rebuilt with concrete. In front of Senso-ji, there are many shops. It is called Shin Nakamise Shopping Street. Japanese traditional clothes, dolls, and craftworks are sold there. Also human-shaped bread called Ningyoyaki are there. it had named bigben before changed name elizabeth tower. The Big Ben was built in 1859. the tower has 13 tons of bells. It is as heavy as a crane. Originally, the bell was struck every 15 minutes, but it is now closed due to construction. nevertheless you will be shocked by the tower.
