There were many different effects the acts had on the colonists. The British rules also had many effects. Many of the acts and rules created a large amount of upset in the colonists. This upset of the colonists was targeted solely at Britain for their unfair treatment of the colonists. For example, lets take the Quartering Act. The Quartering Act was put in place to create money for the British army. The colonists were angry at the British for putting this into place because it was unfair. Since colonists were forced to let soldiers stay in their homes free of charge, it had a strong effect on the colonial view for independence.
