One thing that made me think that this was the message was because of how many times the author had something in the book that included loyalty, like when Brambleclaw asked if Squirrelpaw told Firestar about the secret that he had because Firestar was trying to keep Brambleclaw and Squirrelpaw apart, which made him suspect that Squirrelpaw told Firestar something. Squirrelpaw says she didn't and Brambleclaw still thinks that she might have told Firestar something, but he knew that Squirrelpaw is loyal. Another example is when Tawnypelt (Brambleclaw's sister) moved from ThunderClan to ShadowClan. It said something about Tawnypelt being like a stranger to ShadowClan, but she had pride and was determined to be loyal to ShadowClan, even though she came from a different Clan.
