I set up my whole day with a canva presentation. I linked the powerpoints and lessons needed within the slides, youtube videos for songs, and more to graphics in my canva. This made my day more streamlined. I combined writing with science at the end of the day to have students research a marina animal on getEPIC, write down their facts, and share out. They were eager to share their writing about their animals facts they learned.

Students enjoyed using Xtramath & SuccessMaker. Used to have lessons linked through nearpod, but had too many past experiences of glitches and freezes. Ended up using google slides with same lesson material and could make copies for each student so they could edit and turn in when finished. That method worked well and then work was still there in google classroom for kids to finish if they needed more time, or continue to use for individual students needed more review / practice time on those lessons & skills.

I used Canva and linked all of the things that I may be using throughout the day on there. I did not want to waste time searching for something and wanted it readily available to me. Students used SuccessMaker over the days as well as some ELA or Math learning games that I was able to find and plan out. I also used Google Classroom for links or things that I needed the students to be able to find.

Students were able to easily find, Edmentum and SuccessMaker when it was asked of them to get onto those sites.

I used BrainPop or Flocabulary to introduce my lessons for ELA and Math. We used the quiz portion for both sites after watching the videos to check for understanding and to check for engagement. Students were also using their hand raising feature throughout the days everyday for AMI.

While teaching virtually, it is very hard to monitor and respond to text messages from the office about clerical tasks. I am not able to scan work and email it to parents while teaching my class AND supervising my own children. I am also not able to contact parents while teaching, especially when I have been observed during this time. This was exceptionally overwhelming. I am also not comfortable asking parents why they are not having their students login, especially when they already requested packets from me.

It would also be beneficial to have clear cut expectations from administration about AMI regarding packets in alignment with the district expectations so we are all on the same page and saying the same thing to parents.

We used xtra math, success maker, quizizz, Google Classroom, and blooket. Students were familiar with these resources because they are used in class.
