The soldier must solve the problem, by either working out a way to get around the devices, or defuse the,.

achieving aims: If the army were to set an aim of clearing an area that would have a great tactical advantage to them of enemy soldiers, this would count as an aim for a soldier. If the soldier and their squad cleared this area of enemies, this would be an example of achieving an aim.

interpersonal skills: As a squad of soldiers will spend many days on a battlefield together, they must have good interpersonal skills. They can demonstrate these skills when they bond during training together, learning their team mates hobbies and interests, so they have a closer bond,

non-verbal communication: Non verbal communication is an essential skill a soldier must possess, especially when stealth is required.

honesty: Soldiers must be honest, as if they don't ask for help when they know they need t, they could put their squad in danger. An example would be if a captain couldn't mines whist on the move, If needed to get through a field, they could just say its clear, lead their squad through the field, and have them get hit by mines. Whereas if they owned up to not knowing, their squad would be safe.

integrity: Soldiers need to have integrity as in the event the had to recall events, and key information for the army to use, the information the give must be 100% accurate and not made up in any way.

reliability: As a soldier, you are greatly relied on. Whether this is to clean you squads weapons, watch your squads flank, or even stay in a vehicle, you must be relied on to be able to carry out these tasks. This is why reliability is essential for any soldier to possess as a personal quality.

punctuality: In the event a soldier needs to record events in the battlefield, the information must be clear and punctual so as it can used, and read at a later date. Hence why punctuality is required as personal quality for any soldier.

commitment: an example of when commitment is required as a personal quality for a soldier is at the end of their training. Once their training is completed, and they get on to the battlefield, it is is essential thy are committed to the missions they are given. If a soldier gets the battlefield, and ecides it isn't for them, they have wasted thousnads of pounds on training, and have been disloyal to the army, which will end in disciplinary action and being known as disloyal

positive attitude to work: if a soldier has a negative attitude towards his work, this will rub off on the squad. A soldier needs to look at tasks with positivity, as it will inspire the rest of the team, and aid them in dealing with difficult situations, with much more productivity than they would if they had a negative outlook on the situation.

concern for others: Concern for others is one of the most essential personal qualities a soldier can possess. If a team mate is injured, they may not only be physically hurt, but they could be damaged mentally too. It is important a soldier can show concer, and empathy in these situatuions, as it can reassure their team mates, and take away fear from what happened in that event.
