I live at home with my husband, two daughters (2 & 4), two dogs, 8 chickens and an uninvited number of snakes and other critters we find every day in our backyard here in Maryland!

I now manage the therapeutic and health promotion nutrition programs for our health care system. I also worked as the lead ethics consultant for about 25 years. I should have had this class years ago, but I like to think it’s never too late to be an OTA student!

My master's thesis is on healthclinic design, I am focusing on Rwandan genocide survivors with PTSD. I am using anthropology and design knowledge to create a design framework that allows people with PTSD to seek help and healing within healthclinics without facing mental health discrimination. My grandpa Eladio Jimenez. He came from Cuba is 1970 and made an amazing life for him self. He was always encouraging me to have a healthy life style. My grandfather passed away in December 2016 from Pneumonia. Both my grandparents had complications with their health due to processed foods and misunderstandings from health care providers. My passion is to break these barriers by providing nutritional food options, resources and information. My grandpa wanted me to be healthy for myself but what he really did, is also give me the drive to be of assistance for others as well.
