Population increased from year 1700 onwards because of industrial revolution. Industrial revolution means the time period where people started using machines and machine made products instead of handmade things .

Many people changed from agricultural life to country life where there were factories ,they found work or jobs in the factories and got good salaries .
In 1960 there was a green revolution means that there was more agriculture to produce more food for growing demands of the people so this lead to good living conditions, good medical care and hence the birth rate increased and the death rate decreased.
The predicted world population by 2050 is 9.8 billion and by 2100 is 11.2 billion.
