Will the Heffleys ( Greg's family ) make it through this though time I guess we will have to see.

One day whilst he's walking home after getting detention, Maxwell goes the long way instead of the short way home and finds a dog in the middle of the street. He tries to help it, but its paw has a spike in so he couldn't walk. 
While he's helping the dog a car comes by and he tries to stop it, but the person is on the phone and doesn't see him at all, but right at the last second the car turned away. 

So, Maxwell had to carry the big dog home and called it Monster. When he gets home his Mum was reluctant and so was his sister, so she didn't let him keep the dog but when his dad gets home, his Dad rushes it to the vets to get help.

I'm really enjoying this book because of how it grips me in and makes me really like it, and I think it's great and I would really encourage a lot of people to read it. I really enjoyed this because even though it was so quick and easy the message was lovely like " often the hardest person to forgive is yourself" or " being kind to yourself is one of the greatest kindnesses." Some are disgusting, some amazing and some extremely weird. Read about a girl who was raised by dogs, the man who is magnetic and coins and other objects stick to his chest or the cow with two faces. I would say this book is intriguing and has extraordinary pictures. You won’t believe your eyes. This book is from 2010 and was my brothers. It is about a boy called Tom Pickles and he was very lazy and wanted a robot to do everything for him. He then finds an old wooden box with a magazine cover inside reading 'How to make your own robot' and all the tools to make it. He then became alive. He was an all-purpose cleaning machine and was great at tidying, sandwich-making and goalkeeping but he also had some more sinister ambitions of his own... This book is by Adam Ford who also writes lots of other books for Pocket Tales. No one noticed that something odd was with this robot but Tom did . He realised that it had feelings, talked to itself and didn't have a number on the back of it . Mr hi tech saved their house from being burgled when  he over heard some people saying that the robot would take over the world deciding to change some things around. R. R. Tolkien wrote the book “The hobbit”. 

The book , with its ~95000 words, would take the average adult will take 5 hours 20 minutes to read this book, and the average child, nearly 8 hours.  

The world in this book is split into different creatures, all weird (or exceptionally normal) in their own ways: 

The men - SPOILER ALERT the pretty much argue until one rude guy saves the world.

The spiders - Giant spiders that want to eat you.

The trolls - Idiotic creatures that try to eat everything and they turn into stone by looking at sunlight 

The elves - They closely resemble men but have signature pointy ears. They can carry out anything perfectly.

The wizards - There are only 5 wizards:
Gandalf the Gray, Saruman the White, Radagast the Brown, and two unnamed Blue Wizards.
Gandalf is very important to the story, and in fact, the blue wizards and Saruman the white aren’t even seen in this book, only the “Lord of the rings” which Tolkien wrote years and years later.

The hobbits - Short men who don’t like adventures, well the family the Bagginses and the Tooks, the Tooks like adventure, and the Bagginses hate it. But 1 hobbit, with The Bagginses and Tooks blood, he is forced to make a hard choice.
