Transformation of the sector toward renewables - relating to the incident in Spain. Reasons behind this? We need more connections with other countries to better react to these events; have more batteries to have a better response.

Upgrading lines - they were not rebuild for many years. Taking students - issue to skills gaps and mismatches. Talent pools being tapped in by different companies.

To get net-zero with net-zero carbon energy. Need responsible energy. Lack of efficiency in the grid. Transition should be inclusive, include nuclear and other sectors. Inclusion of employees in the process.

2020 closing of power plant, signed with ministries an agreement of staff relocation within the growing companies. For workers creation of employment pool, receiving specific training. Signed this for own workers and industry companies. Wind, solar, other industries. Range of options - retirement, retraining. Unions with electric companies. Talking with companies, local governments, ministries/gov. Government did not back retraining, the electricity companies achieved this.

Same as Spain, but without government input (only unions and employers). PV production to avoid labour cost - slightly lower wages but same social protections. Sept 2024 impact of digitalisation, transition. Bilateral commission com posed of 6 members of companies and 6 members of unions. Identified 70 new profiles in areas. Passing of knowledge and abilities of the workers.

Rigoruos studies for change anticipation of skills needs. In France since 2021 we have skill observatory. Conserns sevelar branches. Goal: provide accurate figures on employment needs. Produces tangible and concrete knowledge. In electricity sector with public authorities. Useful to build a well-funded vision.

Need support from local and central government. When companies close, they leave the territory and employees. With government we can achieve agreements, train people, give them work in those territories. Investment is important in green industries. New companies will be created where possibility of finding employment

Need to give concrete support for retraining. Government should set up funds (e.g. regualtion on foreign labour and mobility). Funs need to support accomodation, re-traiing.

JT planning for coal industry. We need union to inform workers, push them, react to change. To learn, change abilities. The union must push this change (either to study, or take other measures). Must go hand-to-hand in transition.

To anticipate the change - need democratic governing model. Need to develop participation, representation for salaries. Need for social dialogues on MS level. We need job and skills planning. Have to develop a vision of employment. Develop capacity to mobilise stakeholders. Professional breach of relevant electricity sectors. We have to identify training opportunities, adaptation of training provisions.
