"We need to adopt a new attitude toward digital learning content—a term I use deliberately, as it more accurately describes how we learn now, in this information-abundant digital world. The challenge lies not in designing perfect new content each time we have a training requirement, but in figuring out how to pull content together in a bundle that best facilitates learning. Of course, we will still need new content, but it should be shaped to yield the best results: ideally short, focused snippets targeting the most difficult concepts."

No matter where you look, children and students are using technology more and more because it is becoming more accessible. What is the education system doing to respond to this? Does technology have a place in schools? How can technology be used to effectively improve teaching, learning and productivity in the classroom

"Using technology just for the sake of using technology is wasteful. If it doesn't transform your classroom or your teaching or learning, just skip it, don't use it. If the same project can be done using paper or pencil, it is not transforming your classroom. Always start with your purpose. If something is boring on paper, it is still going to be boring when you put it on an iPad."

T-PACK Framework (popularized by Lee Shulman) An easy-to-understand video

In this age of web 3.0, T-PACK is a conceptual framework to remind educator to keep the three emphases, i.e., content knowledge, pedagogical knowledge and technological knowledge, in check. This video describes the fallacy of designing our lessons around a particular tool especially when we get too excited about a particular technological application. This video reminds us to start with the content knowledge, find a suitable pedagogy to deliver the content, and then only layer in a technology suitable for this delivery.
